About Corian

Corian is a solid surface product produced by DuPont. It is composed of acrylic polymer and a material derived from bauxite ore. Various product lines are available including a metallic series, a semi-translucent series for backlit applications, and a line designed to replicate the patterns found in nature. Corian is a magnificent material when it comes to repairability and long uninterrupted surfaces that put attention back onto the design rather than on unsightly seams. Corian does tend to be a softer material and can be scratched and affected by heat.
