Marble

Intense heat and pressure over time cause limestone or dolomite to metamorphose into the magnificent stone we know as marble, and it only gets more lovely with time. The classic luxury of marble is second to none. Sand or other substances present during formation lead to marble’s patterns of coloured bands. Marble is suitable for most surfaces, but it does need care and performs best in low traffic spaces or situations. While heat resistant, it is relatively porous and can therefore be damaged by chemicals or lingering spills.
