Induction hobs

This is a sub-category of electric hob that boasts high operational efficiency and quick heat-up. They are safe to touch, as heat is produced in the cooking vessel via an induced current rather than being directly transferred from the cooking surface. Even so, continue to exercise caution as with any other hob. Induction hobs can perform better with heat distribution than other electric hobs, but as they work on electromagnetic principles, their downside is that they require the pot or pan to contain iron.

Warranties range from 2-10 years depending on the manufacturer.
