Openplan Design is a trading name for Ashlar Mason Ltd. Founded in 1995, Ashlar Mason was established primarily as an importer and processor of natural stone. We have gained valuable experience in this field over the years, keeping in step with the demands of the market and ever-changing trends. We are truly experts in all things stone, including having worked with the rarest types of onyx on the planet. It is not uncommon for us to hand pick our stone from sources around the world so that we can keep our London warehouse stocked with all sorts of interesting stone options, ready for your viewing and selection.
We constantly place ourselves ahead of manufacturing practices, embracing new technologies that help us push the limits of our capabilities. Whether it’s keeping up with advancements in man-made materials such as quartz, Dekton and porcelain, or incorporating cutting edge technologies into our London factory, we are proud to be at the leading edge of the market.
In 2002, we expanded our product range into the supply of kitchen cabinets, appliances, and bathroom fittings. This was a natural progression for us, driven largely by requests from our existing customers for more comprehensive interior design solutions. In 2008, we again extended our product offerings into bedroom and living room furniture and fittings – a decision which positioned us as a one-stop shop for turnkey services delivered by a skilled team of designers and fitters. Our 2012 foray into luxury interiors found us renewing and developing partnerships with some of the best, most experienced, reputable and inspired European manufacturers to create a luscious showroom selection for our customers.

When we moved to our new home, my wife and I decided to upgrade the kitchen and convert the bathroom adjacent to the kitchen into a utility room. We approached Open Plan Design and received the most amazing service one could ever wish for right from the start to finish. The team led by Mr Ali were able to wonderfully convert our raw ideas efficiently into detailed 3D perspectives and adjust the specification to meet our needs and expectations. The attention given to delicate details to ensure every aspect was covered and approved was outstanding and the entire project management was carried out meticulously and on time. We are extremely pleased with the workmanship and the quality of the German kitchen installed. Hassan who is the master fitter at Open Plan Design, is the most approachable and knowledgeable person and went beyond to satisfy us. With any big projects there is one or two little niggles that could emerge after installation and ours was no exception. Again, the team responded swiftly to rectify them. I wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone who wishes to achieve quality results and peace of mind with their renovation projects.

Openplan showed us various designs and more importantly made suggestions on the types of worktops to use for the kitchen. We were spoilt for choice and ultimately got the style, colour and design we wanted. The worktop was cut using the latest design in technology and delivered and installed professionally.
